From 4.8 MB to 412 KB in three steps

An iPhone photo is often too big for an online form. Here's how it ends up ready to upload.

    1. Add the photo

Drag it in or pick it from your gallery. You can add several at once.

    2. Choose the format and size

JPG is accepted by almost every application form. Lower the size if there's a maximum file size.

    3. Download it

The converted photo is saved to your device with the same name and the new extension.

Your files never leave your device

Most online converters upload your photos to their servers. FacilDocs converts them in your own browser, so nobody else receives them. That matters for a scanned ID, a payslip or a personal photo.

You can check it yourself: once the page has loaded, turn off your internet connection and the converter keeps working.

    Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your phone or computer. FacilDocs never receives your files.

How do I convert an iPhone HEIC photo to JPG?

Drop the HEIC photo into the tool, choose JPG and press Convert. The first time takes a few extra seconds while your browser loads the HEIC reader.

Which format should I use for an online application?

JPG is the most widely accepted format on government portals and application forms. PNG works better for screenshots with text. WebP is smaller, but some older websites don't accept it.

Why is my image larger after converting it?

This usually happens when you convert a photo to PNG, because PNG is lossless. To make it smaller, choose JPG or WebP, lower the quality or reduce the maximum size.

Is there a limit on files or size?

There's no usage limit. The only limit is your device's memory: on phones, convert very large photos in smaller batches.
